Welcome to Dallai
The only company in the world that produces the entire range of spherical couplings for irrigation pipes and wellpoint drainage systems is located in Reggiolo. Welcome to Dallai, which began to emerge more than half a century ago, through the initiative of two very young and enterprising apprentice brothers in a small mechanical workshop in Villarotta. It was 1958 when 19-year-old Giuliano and 17-year-old Giancarlo decided that the bar opened ten years earlier by their father Ernesto—known to everyone as Faustino, previously a carter—was not for them. They went to learn the trade in a workshop, but after a year the owner went bankrupt. The Dallai brothers did not lose heart, they took over the business, focusing on the production of a spherical coupling for irrigation, the so-called Type D.
This was the beginning of an entrepreneurial story full of results and satisfaction. From the small workshop in Villarotta, Giuliano and Giancarlo moved in 1962 to Reggiolo, to a 300 square meter warehouse, which four years later became 600 and in the following decade 1,500. Finally, thirteen times as much again, 20,000 meters on an area of 50,000, with the current headquarters in the industrial area. The first to install photovoltaic panels on the roof, which covers about a third of the electricity consumption on working days and allows the resale of excess produced on rest days. The Sixties were the years of the boom, the great Italian economic growth. Dallai also seized the favorable phase and grew, refining its production vocation and progressively expanding it to the entire range of spherical couplings, which it supplies to the most important companies in the sector, first Italian, then worldwide. The first, “historical” Type D joint is followed by the Type A, then B and C are added. In the Nineties, innovative products in galvanized iron, stainless steel, and aluminum arrived; more recently, Polycrimp was developed, which allows the transition between metal and polyethylene pipes. Dallai couplings arrive wherever pipes are used for large works, in irrigation systems and construction sites, in mines and oil wells.

With the opening of the Dallai America branch in Florida, the North American and Canadian markets have been consolidated. Furthermore, we export worldwide, with a strong presence in the Russian, Middle Eastern, and, of course, European markets. This globalization allows the Italian company to excel in the world of spherical couplings for irrigation and drainage.
Since 2013, Dallai S.R.L. has been ISO 9001:2008 certified. The company has been able to achieve significant improvements in terms of organizational efficiency and product quality by minimizing waste, reducing errors, and increasing productivity. The certification has touched all company organizational areas, from design, production process management, material storage, and shipping. Our goal is to continue to guarantee process quality, which will consequently always guarantee higher product quality.
For Dallai, it is essential to guarantee the health and safety of workers. The decision to invest resources for environmental certification was made for continuous company improvement. OHSAS 18001 certification was obtained in 2015 and then converted to ISO 45001 in 2018. This efficient risk prevention management system is essential. The system focuses on risk control factors, and a worker health and safety management system identifies and assesses the possibility of workplace accidents. ISO 45001 is a worker health and safety management (OH&S) standard designed to address this need; certification according to this standard allows Dallai to implement responsible risk control and constantly increase safety and health in the workplace, to protect personnel from potential hazards.
